Johnny Callahan, who is known for his poetry reciting abilities, is giving a special community presentation at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 17 at Crane Chapel Church.

Known as “the poetry man,” Callahan has spent the last couple of decades reciting Christian spiritual poetry at nursing homes and churches.

His Sunday reading will be done in celebration of his 83rd birthday.

Crane Chapel is located at 1111 Ninth St. NE, Austin.
