Minn. man hurt while chasing dog on I-94 in Wis.

HUDSON, Wis.  — A Minnesota man is in critical condition after being struck by a car while he was trying to catch his dog on Interstate 94 near Hudson in western Wisconsin.

The Wisconsin State Patrol says 33-year-old Joshua James Davis, of St. Michael, Minn., walked onto I-94 in an attempt to catch his dog. He was struck by a car driven by an 18-year-old Lindstrom, Minn., woman at about 11:30 p.m. Saturday.

The St. Paul (Minn.) Pioneer Press reports that Davis was taken to Regions Hospital in St. Paul, where he remains in critical condition Sunday.

The driver and a passenger in the car were not injured.

Two of the three lanes of eastbound I-94 were closed for about two hours as authorities investigated and cleared the crash scene.
