A Rose Creek man was taken into custody this weekend after allegedly strangling a woman and threatening her.

Enrique Gomez Perez, who also told deputies his name was Julio Gomez and Julio Enrique Gomez, allegedly put both of his arms around the woman’s neck and threatened to kill her. Perez also provided deputies two different birth days for himself.

Deputies observed and documented red marks on the woman’s neck. She received medical attention at the scene of the incident.

Sheriff Terese Amazi said the case is being forwarded to the County Attorney to determine the charges.
