Julie S. Kent, 55, went to Heaven peacefully, surrounded by family on Oct. 3, 2010.

Julie is survived by her husband of 27 years, Larry and her loving son, Alex. Julie also leaves behind her mother, Arleen Schnorenberg of Rose Creek; her brother, Richard Schnorenberg of Lawler, Iowa; her sister, Linda O’Gorman of Hastings and sister-n-law, Laura Clouton of Santa Rosa, CA, who was also a a sister in Julie’s heart. Larry’s large family continues to be an anchor of love and support.

Julie was a Mayo clinic-trained, registered nurse for over 35 years. She set the bar at what true bedside nursing should be. Julie worked 15 years at Mercy General Hospital’s CCC/Rehab. It was her pride and her true friends and co-workers were her joy. Julie could always find time for camping, boating, cruising and traveling to any small town with two or more antique stores. The family would like to thank C Paul Spears, M.D. and his staff at Sierra Hematology for their expertise and loving care. Larry and Alex take great comfort from the love, encouragement and friendship Julie was given by their new family, The Friday Morning Chemo Club. The fight bravely goes on.
