Tickets are on sale now for Cooking Tips & Trends: Holiday Baking. Local foodies will get great recipes and cooking tips from two local chefs at the Hormel Historic Home on Saturday, Oct. 30. Local catering chef, Kathy Askelson and Hy-Vee chef, Elizabeth Diser will demonstrate several recipes that will tantalize your taste buds and impress your family, friends and guests this holiday season.

Both chefs will use closed-circuit television cameras, mounted over the stove and prep area, to show participants a bird’s eye view of the preparations. Attendees will also get to sample some of the recipes presented and will take home a class program with all the recipes, shopping lists and suggested wine pairings.

Doors will open at 9 am. The presentation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. inside the Hormel Historic Home expansion. In addition to the cooking class attendees will have time to visit over a dozen local vendors displaying tastes and tools of the kitchen from 9  to 10 a.m. and again after the program from 12 to 1 p.m.
