Experience a top reason for vote

I have worked in law enforcement for over 20 years. In that time period I have had the opportunity to work with some very good sheriffs who are qualified, experienced and dedicated professionals, including the current sheriff, Terese Amazi.

During that time I have witnessed the changes within the Sheriff’s Department. Sheriff Amazi has kept pace with those changes. Sheriff Amazi was instrumental in reducing the meth labs and meth problem in Mower County, by getting the active ingredient in methamphetamine placed behind the counters and locked up in stores.

Sheriff Amazi has created policies that have reduced the sheriff’s office and Mower County’s exposure to litigation and protected the citizens at the same time.

Sheriff Amazi was involved with updating Mower County’s communication system, making it safer for law enforcement personnel, more efficient for the Communication Center and improving public safety. In the process, she saved the taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars by partnering with other agencies.

Sheriff Amazi started the Make the Drop program in Mower County, where citizens can drop off their outdated and unused prescriptions, thus helping to protect our children and the environment.

On Nov. 2, vote Sheriff Amazi, she has the experience.
