Candidate supports voter I.D. laws

We need better voter I.D. laws in our state. Eighty percent of Minnesotans, both Republicans and Democrats, support reform in our voter I.D. laws, according to a Rasmussen poll.

Minnesota is the only state that lets a registered voter vouch for an unregistered person. We know that voter fraud happens. When fraud happens, our own voice gets watered down. We need to reform our current I.D. laws to prevent voter fraud. Our current representative, Jeanne Poppe, isn’t in favor of reforming voter I.D. laws. The other candidate, Jennifer Gumbel, is in favor of reform. That’s one reason I’m supporting Jennifer Gumbel.
