The Blooming Prairie football team topped Mankato Loyola 52-14 on the road Friday.

The Awesome Blossoms (3-2 overall) led 24-6 at the half after compiling nine first half penalties.

“We werent’ sharp mentally in th first half, but we played good in the third quarter,” BP head coach Chad Gimbel said.

BP put put up 28 points in the third quarter.

While Luc Zellmer threw for 382 yards and five scores, BP ran for 85 yards as a team. Ryan McCabe and Zellmer ran in scores and Jon Kraling hauled in one of Zellmer’s touchdowns.
