The Austin girls swimming and diving team took third place in the eight-team Packer Invite in Ellis Middle School Saturday.

Rochester Century won the meet with a score of 498.5, Rochester John Marshall was second with a 438, and Austin was third with a 286 — just two points ahead of fourth place Owatonna.

Brooke Johnson took third in the 100-yard backstroke for Austin and the 400-yard freestyle relay team of Helen Heimark, Merideth Fritz, Lindsey McAlister and Johnson took third.
