Aaron P. Mandler, 82, of Adams, died peacefully at home on Oct. 12, 2010, surrounded by his family.

Aaron Peter Mandler was born Jan. 14, 1928 in Adams, to George and Susan (Schaeffer) Mandler. He attended Sacred Heart Catholic School and graduated from Adams High School in 1946. Aaron served in the U.S. Army from 1950 until 1952. On May 7, 1955, Aaron married Lorraine Mullenbach at St. Johns Catholic Church in Johnsburg, MN. Aaron worked at Osmundson Bros., later at Hormel and again at Osmundson Bros. until his retirement. He was a member of Sacred Heart Parish where he served as an usher and a Eucharistic minister. In his spare time, Aaron enjoyed walking, working on car engines, cleaning cars, and taking care of his lawn.

He is survived by his wife, Lorraine Mandler, Adams; daughter, Carol (Steven) Weber, Mankato; son, Brian (Karen) Mandler, Rochester; son, David (Joan) Mandler, Rochester; daughter, Ann (Curt) Oudekirk, Dexter; son, Bruce (Amy) Mandler, Wells; son, Rick (Tammy) Mandler, Wells; 11 grandchildren; sister, Bernette Brown, Minneapolis; brother, Harold (Lyda) Mandler, Austin; and brother, Harlan (Dorothy) Mandler, Brainerd.

Aaron is preceded in death by his brother, Donald George Mandler; son, Donald James Mandler and granddaughter, Ashley Mandler.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11a.m. on Friday, Oct. 15, 2010 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Thomas Loomis officiating. Interment will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Friends may call at the Adams Funeral Home on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. and on Friday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Adams Funeral Home. There will be a 4 p.m. Rosary and a 7:30 p.m. prayer service at the Adams Funeral Home on Thursday evening.
