LAKELAND — Two young people have been found dead in a park east of the Twin Cities.

Washington County sheriff’s officials say a person discovered the bodies of a boy and a girl in Humphries Park near a heavily wooded bluff not far from a footpath about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. The park is in Lakeland, about a half-hour east of Minneapolis-St. Paul.

Authorities say they aren’t looking for any suspects in the deaths. Officials have declined to provide details on how the two died.

KARE-TV reports the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is assisting with the investigation.
