Raymond L. Stehlik, Sr., 59

Raymond Lee Stehlik, Sr., 59, of Austin, died of bone cancer on Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2010, at 11 p.m. at Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Minneapolis, where he had been a patient for one week.

Raymond was born on June 24, 1951, in Rochester to Franklin and Dorothy-Helen (Groby) Stehlik.

Raymond enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1969 and was primarily stationed in Calif. and the Phillipines. He retired from the Navy in 1992. He had resided in the Phillipines for 15 years prior to his retirement.

Raymond moved to Austin and worked at Cybex in Owatonna until he became disabled through the Va.

He is survived by his three sons: Raymond Lee Stehlik, Jr., Robert Lee Stehlik, and Reno Lee Stehlik, all of Austin; his siblings: James (Susan) Stehlik of Owatonna; Gene (Karen) Stehlik of Maple View; Joy Minor of Nevada; Richard (Deborah) Stehlik of Austin; Tommy (Lydia) Stehlik of Nevada; RoseAnn (Lawrence) Schulz of South Dakota; and April Templeton of Austin; his sister-n-law, Mischel (Joel) Stehlik of Chatfield; 38 nieces and nephews as well as numerous great-nieces and nephews, not including spouses and significent others.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Pamela Stehlik; and one brother, Joel Sr. Stehlik (Mischel).

A full honorary military burial will be held at Fort Snelling in Minneapolis.
