Austin took third in a four-team volleyball invite in Rochester John Marshall Saturday.

The Packers (2-10 overall) beat Albert Lea 25-13, 23-25, 15-12 in the third place match after losing their first four matches of the day.

“We had a tough time getting started today, but at the end of the day, were able to execute some nice plays and stay positive enough to pull out a win against a conference rival,” Austin head coach Darica Schneider said.

Austin’s pool play losses came against Albert Lea 25-22, 25-20, Kasson/Mantorville 25-13, 25-13 and John Marshall 25-16, 25-13.

The Packers lost to K/M 25-17, 25-11 in bracket play.
