MINNEAPOLIS — Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty says he doesn’t think it’s wise for a pastor in Florida to plan to burn the Quran.
The likely Republican presidential candidate commented on the controversy Thursday before leaving on an Asian trade mission.
Pawlenty says burning books is not a good idea. He also says, “People have a legal right to do all kinds of things, but that doesn’t mean it’s wise.”
A small Florida church plans to burn copies of the Muslim holy book Saturday on the anniversary of the Sept. 11 terror attacks.
