Five cars collide on 18th Ave

A 46-year-old female and one juvenile victim were transported to Austin Medical Center with minor injuries after a five vehicle accident Sat., Sept. 4, around 4 p.m.
The accident occurred near Applebee’s on the 1400 block of 18th Ave. NW.
The Gold Cross, Austin Police Department and Austin Fire Department all responded to the scene.
Police Chief Brian Krueger said the crash was potentially caused by a medical condition. The two victims transported to AMC had been in separate vehicles.
Krueger said the location of the crash has recently been a high-taffic area due to the construction on Fourth St. NW.
