Donald Benjamin Younger, 73

Donald Benjamin Younger, 73, formerly of Brownsdale, died at Renville Hospital in Olivia Tuesday evening, Sept. 14, 2010.

He was born Dec. 19, 1936, to Lewis I. and Edith (Braun) Younger in Winona, Minnesota. After graduation from Winona High School, Donald entered the United States Army in Mar. 1960. Serving as a Mess Sergeant, he earned the Expert Rifle Medal. After an honorable discharge in Oct. 1965 with a rank of PVT E2, he made his home in Brownsdale, selling Watkins and Stanley Home Products. A lifetime member of the Winona County Historical Society, he also belonged to the Antique Auto Club of America and Cadillac LaSalle Club. For the past two years, Donald resided at Golden Living Center in Franklin.

Survivors include, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edith and Lewis Younger and a sister, Julie.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 23, 2010, at Worlein Funeral Home in Austin with military honors by American Legion Post 91. Visitation is one hour prior to the service. Interment is at Woodlawn Cemetery in Winona.
