The Hayfield football team lost to Byron 26-22 in Hayfield Friday.

The Vikings (0-4 overall) led 8-0 after an eight-yard scoring run by Broderick Diekman and they led 14-8 after Evan Bungum hit Brady Kramer for a 30-yard score in the second quarter.

Byron took the game over when Thor Knutson ran an interception back 20 yards for a score to make it 26-14 Bears with 3:03 left in the game.
