The Blooming Prairie boys cross country team took first in its own invite, and the girls were second Tuesday.

Adam Dreissen took second for the BP boys, which had five runners in the top-16.

“This is the third consecutive year that we have won our home meet,” BP head coach John Bruns said. “This is the lowest score of any of those previous wins. The key to success is the progress that the No. 4 through No. 6 guys have made. Tyler Cozine, Derek Weringa, and Andrew Grant continue to improve by leaps and bounds, and that is making our team a lot better.”

Hayfield’s Michael Kuehn took first in the boys race as the Vikings were third as a team. Chad Kruger was sixth and Jon Fleshmann was eighth.
