The Austin boys soccer team blanked Faribault 2-0 (0-6-1 overall, 0-3 Big Nine) on the road Tuesday.

Francisco Torres scored a first and second half goal for the Packers (3-2-1 overall, 1-1-1 Big Nine) to get the offense going. His first goal was assisted by Nick Brehmer.

“Francisco’s a guy who likes to get other people involved and he’s all about the team,” Austin head coach Jens Levisen said. “Today he busted through for a couple of goals.”

Austin goal keeper Jesus Alejo had six saves in the shutout win.

“The guys did a nice job of moving the ball and they controlled play,” Levisen said. “It was a solid effort and it was nice to get the shutout.”
