Austin, L/P and GM suspend football games

Austin's Marcus Stoulil closes on Rochester John Marshall's Nick Haglund during the first quarter Friday night at Art Hass Stadium. The game was postponed to Saturday at 7 p.m. due to lightning. The Austin, Lyle/Pacelli, Southland and Grand Meadow football teams had their games suspended due to lightning Friday night.
The Packers will resume play against Rochester John Marshall in Austin Saturday at 7 p.m., Lyle/Pacelli will resume its contest against Glenville/Emmons at 4 p.m. in Lyle, the Rebels will resume at 3 p.m. in Kingsland, and Grand Meadow will resume its contest at LeRoy/Ostrander at 10 a.m
The Packers are trailing JM 8-0 with 5:23 left in the first quarter. Nick Haglund put the Rockets on the board when he got loose for a 33-yard run to the one-yard line and scored on three-yard plunge.
Austin stopped JM on its first possession and the Packers went three-and-out on their first possession.
GM is leading L/O 37-0 halfway through the second quarter.
Caleb Leichtnam returned a kick and a punt for a score for the Superlarks.
The Rebels were leading 27-0 in the second quarter.
