CHAMPLIN, Minn. — A police drug-sniffing dog that went missing in Champlin has been found.
The Anoka County Sheriff’s Department says Sherman was found by a citizen Friday morning and returned to his handler.
The 4-year-old black lab went missing Thursday, after a service worker accidentally left the gate to his kennel open.
Sherman is trained to detect narcotics. The sheriff’s department credits media attention for his quick recovery.
