ST. PAUL  — Police in St. Paul say one man was hurt when a brick sidewalk collapsed beneath him Tuesday.

Witnesses tell KSTP-TV the man fell about eight feet into the hole near a downtown intersection.

Authorities say the man had non-life threatening injuries.

Officials say the 15-by-6 foot section of the sidewalk probably gave way because of a water main break in the area. Water service in the area was temporarily interrupted.
