Mary Helen Osmundson was born August 17th 1952 at Austin, Minn. to Earl J. and Helen (Bell) Osmundson. She graduated from the Adams High School and obtained her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota, Morris. She received her Master’s degree at the University of Northern Colorado, Greeley, CO. Mary began her teaching career at Potosi, MO and later moved to Fergus Falls, Minn. where she was the Vision Consultant, working with vision impaired children at a number of schools in the Fergus Falls area. In the early 80’s Mary returned to Adams where she owned and operated a retail gift shop on Main Street.

She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law; Lois and Maynard Lewison, Adams, Minn.; brother and sister-in-law: Robert and Judy Osmundson, Adams, Minn.; nieces and nephews, aunts: Lois Osmundson, Adams, Minn.; Hazel Smith, Wilmot, S.D.; special friend: Mary Groen, Sioux City, Iowa; and cousins.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Helen Osmundson.

A private family service will be held at the Adams Funeral Home with the Reverend Leslie Brooke Neist officiating. Interment will be at the Little Cedar Lutheran Cemetery. The Adams Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
