HENDERSON — The death of a young woman after a basement fire in south-central Minnesota is being called suspicious.
Firefighters were called to the fire in Henderson about 5 a.m. Sunday. They found a woman in her late teens or early 20s in the basement.
Henderson Fire Chief Brandon Phillips says the victim was pulled alive out of the fire but died at a Le Sueur (luh SOOR’) hospital.
Phillips calls the death suspicious.
A neighbor says the girl had moved to the area with her father in the spring.
No other details were immediately available.
