The City of Austin will be spraying for mosquitoes this evening, weather permitting.

The spraying, which will include a ground application, will start after 8:00 p.m.

The chemical that is used will not affect humans, animals or plants, according to Jon Erichson, city engineer. Rather, the spray is intended to kill adult mosquitoes.
