MINNEAPOLIS — Powerful thunderstorms dropped heavy rain and large hail and touched off some tornado warnings as they rumbled across southern and central Minnesota Wednesday afternoon.

There were no immediate reports of injuries in Minnesota. But the National Weather Service says injuries were reported as two semis were blown off the road bear Baldwin in western Wisconsin. Details were not immediately available.

South of the Twin Cities, the weather service says law enforcement reported tornadoes near Lakeville and Northfield, vehicle blown off the road at Interstate 35 and Highway 19 south of Lakeville, and a camper rolled over near Credit River.
