LeRoy Summerfest right around the corner

LeRoy’s Summerfest kicks off Friday with a benefit supper, a variety show at the school and free family movie at the library.

A sprint triathlon will be held Saturday morning. Only the first 100 people to sign up can participate. South City park will be the hub for most of the Summerfest events Saturday. All day Saturday, there will be a flea market, craft tables, food stands, garden club tours and a volleyball tournament. The car and motorcycle show will also be Saturday.

A number of events will be held for the youth, including carnival games, races and water fights. On Saturday night, there will be a windsor chop supper, followed by a street dance with the band Marshall Road.

Sunday will start with an ecumenical church service. The fireman’s chicken dinner will follow. There will also be the grand parade followed by a concert with the LeRoy Community Band and then a performance by local band LeRoy Road in the park.


1 p.m. — Free Family Movie, “Alice in Wonderland” at 1:00 PM at LeRoy Public Library

5-7 p.m. — Pork sandwich supper at LOHS Commons

6 p.m. — Pee Wee Fast Pitch Tournament at LOHS Ball Field

7:30 p.m. — LeRoy Community Theater Variety Show at LOHS Gym

5 p.m. — Bean Bag Tournament at North Baumbach Park


8 a.m. — Sprint Triathlon at Trail Head

8 a.m. — Co-Ed Volleyball Tourney

8 a.m. — Pee Wee Fast Pitch Tournament at LOHS Ball Field

9 a.m.-1 p.m. — LeRoy Garden Club Garden Tours,

9 a.m.-1 p.m. — Open house and used book sale at LeRoy Public Library

10 a.m. — Story time at LeRoy Public Library

10 a.m. — Pedal for Birds: 10-mile bike ride at trail head

10 a.m.-2 p.m. — Container Gardening Contest

10-11a.m. — Dog contest at South Park

11 a.m.-2 p.m. — Car & Motorcycle Show sponsored by Son’s of the American Legion at South Park, registration begins at 10:00 a.m.

11 a.m.-1 p.m. — Lunch and pie and ice cream social at Community Center sponsored by Unit No. 161 & LeRoy Senior Citizens

11 a.m.-4 p.m. — Grand opening/open house at B&B Cycle

11 a.m.-4 p.m. — Kid’s carnival games at South Park

11:30 a.m. — Kid’s pedal pull at South Park

12 p.m. — Antique tractor pull at Northern Country Co-op

2 p.m. — Bingo at South Park

1:30 p.m. — Firemen’s water fights and kiddie fights by the water tower

5 p.m.-7 p.m. — Windsor Chop Supper at South Park. Musical entertainment during supper by Tim’s Mobile Music (L-O Commons in case of rain)

8:30 p.m.-12:30 a.m. — Street Dance featuring Marshall Road by Travel Lanes on South Broadway


10 a.m. — Ecumenical Church Service at South Park

11 a.m.-1 p.m. — LeRoy firemen’s grilled chicken dinner, at Emergency Services Building
