Janet Bellrichard, 77, formerly of Austin, died Sunday, July 25, 2010, at St. Marys Hospital, Rochester.
Janet Ann Olson was born Jan. 9, 1933, in Steele County, Minn., to Andrew and Grace (Wood) Olson. She grew up on the family farm and attended country school in Steele County. She worked at several restaurants in the area and later worked at K-Mart in Austin and transferred to the Brainerd K-Mart from where she later retired. Janet continued to live in the Brainerd area until moving to Red Wing one year ago. In her leisure time she enjoyed playing bingo at the VFW clubs in Brainerd and Red Wing. She was also a member of the Moose Club in Brainerd. Janet liked going to the casino and had a garden that she tended. She loved her family and her dogs, Dottie and Daisy.
Surviving are her children, Tom (Pat) Hodnefield, of Red Wing, John (Marilyn McNab) Hodnefield, of Owatonna, Michael (Kim) Bellrichard, of Austin, Laura Gard, of North Carolina, Debra (Gene) Chao, of Austin, Wendy (John) Aalberg, of Austin, Steve (Vicki) Bellrichard, of Elk River, Scott (Lisa) Bellrichard, of Austin; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sister, Donna (Loren) Spinler, of Austin; nieces, nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 28, 2010, at Worlein Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dale Christiansen officiating. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Brainerd. Friends may call at Worlein Funeral Home one hour prior to the service.
