Local gospel singers, musicians and groups will come together later this week to perform spiritual music.

The Paramount Theatre presents their second annual Summer Inspiration Gospel Show at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 15, at the theater, 125 Fourth Avenue NE.

Paramount’s manager of operations Scott Anderson said the show will be similar to the debut event last year, but will feature some new musicians.

“We will have seven, eight or nine acts, some are from last year and some are new,” Anderson said. “They’ll sing all different kinds of gospel, from traditional to new to original pieces.”

Each act will perform two to three songs, he said.

“It turned out to be really nice last year and we think we’ll keep doing this,” Anderson said. “It’s an uplifting show and you get to see local musicians who haven’t been on the stage too often.”

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for seniors and students.
