Area artists are encouraged to participate in the Fine Arts division of the 2010 Mower County Fair. This competition is open to all residents from Mower County and surrounding areas, ages 16 years and older. New artists are always welcome.

Deadline: All entries must be brought to the Creative Arts Building on Tuesday, Aug. 3, from 2 to 5 p.m.  The judging will take place on Aug. 4.

No artwork will be accepted which cannot be displayed for the duration of the fair, which runs from Aug. 10-15. All artwork must be picked up between the hours of 6 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 15, the last day of the fair.

Limitations and preparation: Up to four original works per artist. Each must be labeled on the back with the title, name of artist, address and phone number.

All pictures must be framed and ready to hang with a wire support on the back.

Mediums: Watercolor, acrylic, oil, drawings, relief prints and pastels.

Three Divisions: Professional, pro-Amateur and amateur.

Premiums: First, Second and Third monetary prizes in each division.
