Alice Elizabeth Leahy, age 101, died on June 1, 2010 at Faribault Commons Nursing Home.
Alice was born in Chicago, Ill. on Sept. 14, 1908 to Louise and Emily Choc. Following her high school education, Alice completed teacher’s training and then taught for several years.
On June 6, 1933 she married Ambrose Leahy and the couple made their home in Austin, Minn. for many years.
Survivors include her three children: Michael (Bernice) Leahy of Prior Lake, Minn.; John Leahy, Rochester, Minn.; Catherine Anderson, Owatonna, Minn.; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister and her husband Ambrose.
Alice’s smile, warm heart and fun spirit will be greatly missed by all who loved her. Private services were conducted followed by interment at Calvary Cemetery in Austin, Minn. Funeral arrangements completed with the Brick-Meger Funeral Home of Owatonna.
