A 26-year-old Austin man was arrested Monday night for allegedly breaking into Trimble’s Cycle Center and stealing motorcycle merchandise.

The man awaits formal charges in Mower County court.

According to a police report, a call came in from a citizen in the area at around 10:15 p.m. The reportee noticed someone breaking a front, glass door at the business, located at 900 10th Drive SE. The reportee then saw a man leave the store with what appeared to be clothing.

Police responded and found a man a block away who matched the description given by the reportee. The man also had cuts on his hands and was near a vehicle that was storing roughly $500 worth of motorcycle gear. The individual was taken to the Austin Medical Center for treatment on his hands, then taken into custody.
