Austin girls golf team takes third in Rochester
The Austin girls golf team shot its second best score of the season with a 397 at Eastwood golf course in Rochester, but it wasn’t enough as they had to settle for third in a Big Nine Triangular Thursday.
Mayo took first with a 367 and Winona shot a 385.
Kelsey Stough led the Packers with a 97.
“We have not played that much with the poor weather, but we play again tomorrow and play twice next week before the conference meet,” Austin head coach Erik LaRock said. “Hopefully we can put together some good rounds and keep improving before conference.”
