Rebels win fifth straight

The Southland baseball team beat Rushford/Peterson (6-4 overall) 9-3 in Adams Thursday.

The Rebels (8-3 overall) scored three runs in the fourth and three in the fifth to go up 9-2.

“We struggled hitting in the first couple of innings because everybody wanted to hit it out of the ball park with the wind blowing out,” Southland head coach Scott Retterath said. “We settled down after that and had some nice, easy swings.”

Chris May picked up the win for the Rebels, who have now won five straight.
