The Lyle/Pacelli softball team (0-4 overall) couldn’t avoid the big inning in a 13-5 loss at Glenville/Emmons Tuesday.

The Wolverines (2-7 overall) opened the second inning by drawing two walks and getting hit by two pitches to set the table and Devin Cooper and Robyn Rowe finished the job as they each came up with two-run doubles. G/E led 9-4 after scoring eight in the second inning.

“They really took it to us,” L/P head coach Denny Bray said. “You take that inning away and we’re competitive, but one inning is starting to become our nemesis this year.”
