Jean (Jeanie) Harvey Burton Barck
Jeanie Harvey Barck of Byron, Minn. died on April 10, 2010, after a lengthy illness.
Born in Austin on March 21, 1957, she attended Austin public schools and Austin High School and she graduated from Wilson Campus High School at Mankato State University in 1975. She attended Mankato State University and The School of Associated Arts in St. Paul, Minn. Jeanie was a fine artist and fostered the love of art to her family as well as many others. Jeanie loved to visit with people, cook, and be surrounded by family and friends. She always had time to listen and to give a hug.
Jeanie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter and
friend. Her life was an example of her unshakable Christian faith. She will be
greatly missed.
Jeanie was preceded in death by her father, Jean Arthur Burton, and her daughter Amy.
She is survived by her husband of 25 years, David Barck of Byron, Minn.; her children, Amber (Eric) Barnard of Stockton, Minn., Karrin Geier of Austin, Samantha Barck, Danielle Barck and Brianna Barck of Byron. She is also survived by her mother, Marjorie Burton of Austin; sisters, Linda (Ron) Harder of Clinton, Ark., Janet Burton of Rochester, Minn. and Marcia (Sean) McCoy of Maple Grove, Minn.; four grandchildren; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 16, from 5 to 8 p.m. A celebration of life memorial service will be on Saturday, April 17, at 11 a.m. Both services will be held at Crosswinds Church, 8106 31st Ave. NW, Oronoco, Minn. (just north of 75th St. NW and east of Highway 52, NW Rochester).
