Errors pile up on Southland baseball team

It was one of those days where things wouldn’t go right for the Southland baseball team.
The Rebels (2-1 overall, 2-1 Three Rivers) committed seven errors and left the bases loaded twice in a 9-3 loss to Caledonia in Adams Thursday.
Caledonia plated nine unearned runs in the game and it scored five unearned runs in the top of the fifth as Southland’s miscues piled up.
“We gave them seven outs in that inning,” Southland head coach Scott Retterath said. “The snow ball effect took over and it wasn’t a good day in the field for us.”
