Fresh snowfall Sunday night through Monday morning is creating more dangerous road conditions for Austin and its surrounding communities. Just more than one inch of snow fell overnight, with another one to two inches expected by Monday evening, according to the National Weather Service.
That’s in addition to the above normal snowfall that’s already piled up in the region.
Mower County remains in a winter weather advisory until 6 p.m. Monday.
Local law enforcement reported several vehicles in ditches Monday morning, including one rollover just outside of Austin.
Beginning Tuesday through Saturday, the weather will range from partly cloudy to mostly sunny.
