The Vikings boys basketball team couldn’t cool off a hot shooting Rochester Lourdes team in a 67-54 loss on the road Tuesday.

Lourdes (13-6 overall) hit 14-of-18 shots in the second half and it shot 70 percent (26-for-37) from the field.

“They got free in the paint and our on the ball defense and help defense struggled,” Hayfield head coach Chris Pack said. “We dug ourselves in a big hole.”

Hayfield (10-12 overall) was within 31-26 at the break, but Lourdes opened the second half with a 19-6 run to take over.
