The Austin gymnastics team placed fifth at the Class A True Team gymnastics tournament Saturday.

Invited in the No. 10 spot in the 10-team field, the Packers placed fifth, scoring their season high 139.825.

Perham won the tournament with a score of 151.275.

In addition to scoring its season-high total, Austin scored a season-high 34.5 on the beam and added a solid day on the floor with a 35.825.

“We’re still looking for a couple of more tenths here and there; we’re still building, but we’re moving in the right direction,” Austin coach Mark Raymond said.

Next up are the Big 9 Championships in Winona Feb. 13.
