The Blooming Praire boys gave Triton a good fight, but they had to settle for a 49-48 overtime loss in BP Friday.
The Awesome Blossoms (5-9 overall) had the ball with a chance to win it, but they couldn’t get a shot off as time expired.
Still, BP head coach John Bruns was pleased with the effort as neither team led by more than five on the night.
“It was a lot better than Thursday night (a 50-26 loss to Hayfield). If we keep playing like this, we’ll be all right,” Brun said.
Cooper Nelson had 23 points, 15 rebounds and four blocks and Rudy Vasquez had four steals and three assists for BP.
Logan Spitzack led Triton with 19 points.
BP scoring: Cooper Nelson, 23; Justen Ingvalson, 11; Robert Hofius, 8; Isaac Clark, 3; Aaron Krejci, 3; free throws: 42 percent (5-for-12)
