Paul T. Sween, 59, of Chino Valley, Ariz. and formerly of Grand Meadow died Oct. 2, 2009 in Phoenix, Ariz. following a brief illness.
He was born Oct. 8, 1949 to Norm and Kitty Sween and graduated from Grand Meadow High School in 1967. He continued his education at the University of Minnesota, graduating in 1972.
From a young age Paul loved horses and often worked in careers involving animals. He had lived and worked in Florida, Minnesota and Arizona.
In addition to his many friends he is survived by his parents, Norm and Kitty Sween of Grand Meadow; brothers, Dan (Carolyn) Sween of Grand Meadow and Doug (Joan) Sween of Rochester; a sister Cindy (Doug) Ofstedal of Tokyo, Japan/Harmony, Minn. He is also survived by three nephews, Patrick, Charlie, and Brit; and three nieces, Sarah, Adrienne and Sheldyn.
Memorial Mass for Paul T. Sween will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday Dec. 19, 2009 at St. Finbarr Catholic Church in Grand Meadow with the Rev. Steven Peterson officiating. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to services. Burial of the cremated remains will take place in the church cemetery at a later date.
