Joyce Sue Muhlbauer, 43, of Austin, died Sunday, Dec. 20, 2009 at the Austin Medical Center.
Joyce was born Nov. 9, 1966 in Austin to James and Ruth (Bissen) Muhlbauer.  She worked as a supervisor for King Maintenance and was at one time a bartender. 
Joyce was dedicated to her children and work. She loved to drive (Martha). Joyce looked out for others less fortunate than herself.
Survivors include her children, Robert Donovan Jr., Austin, Maggie Benson, Austin; father, James Muhlbauer, Austin; mother, Ruth Muhlbauer, Austin; sisters, Deb (Tom) Haugland, Austin, Linda (Dave) Miller, Austin, Stacey (Tim) Nazarro, Topeka, Kan., Cheryl Muhlbauer, Austin, Joleen Muhlbauer, Austin; nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her son, Jacob Martin Muhlbauer; sister, Cindy Muhlbauer; special friend, Robert Donovan; nephew, Jeremy Miller.
A memorial mass will be celebrated 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2009 at Mayer Funeral Home with Father Joe Fogal officiating. Friends may call one hour before the service on Wednesday.
The honorary casket bearers will be Eric, Dan, Cortnee, Shayna and Jake Muhlbauer, Kyle Miller and Caitlin Haugland.
