Fred Ernest Bjork, 79, passed away Nov. 3, 2009 at Baptist Hospital, Jacksonville, Ark.

Fred was born March 19, 1931 in the Sargeant, Minn. area to Fred E. Sr. and Mabel Bjork.

Fred was a US Air Force retiree. He retired in Jacksonville.

He is survived by his five children, David, Johnny, Kenneth, Charlotte Bjork of Jacksonville, Ark. and Shirley Horsfall of Nashville, Tenn; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Joseph and Delano Bjork of Embarrass, Minn. and Roger Bjork of Decorah, Iowa; four sisters, Betsy Retterath, Adams, Minn., Fern Bily, Montgomery, Minn., Mae Ashton and Ruth Schmidt of Austin.

He is preceded in death by his wife Lois; son, Ernest; parents, Fred and Mabel Bjork; brothers, William, Merle, and Eugene Bjork; sisters, Daisy Madson, Laura Edge and Elaine Kirkpatrick.

He will be missed by all his family and friends.

A funeral was held Friday, Nov. 6, 2009 at Moore’s Funeral Home with military service by Jacksonville Air Force Base Honor Guard.
