Second Avenue Northeast will be closed between First and Second streets northeast through Oct. 23 as part of jail and justice center construction.

The road is being cut into to allow piping from the geothermal well across the street to cross over to the new facility.

County coordinator Craig Oscarson said new concrete will be poured before the road is opened up again to through traffic.
