Halloween was still a week away, but it didn’t matter.

Aman Rabideau, 3, dressed up as Spiderman, while his 5-year-old brother Syrian roamed the place as Dracula.

“I love the kids, and I love to see them having a good time,” said Lori Anderson, member of Austin’s Loyal Order of Moose on Main Street.

The Moose hosted its annual Halloween party for kids Saturday, complete with games such as pulling eyeballs out of brains and pumpkin bowling.

Dozens of youngsters came out for the festivities, which included pizza and dirt cups made with pudding, crushed Oreos and gummy worms.

The event was held from 1 to 3 p.m. and open to both members and non members.

“It’s a good idea,” said Jodi Rabideau, mother of Aman and Syrian. “The kids are enjoying it a lot.”

And that was just upstairs.

A haunted basement featured everything from strobe lights to skeletons, and those who went through chose to keep the lights on or off.

“Most of the kids want them off, even the little ones,” said Sharon Wobschall, Moose member.
