The Southland volleyball team lost to Lewiston/Altura 25-21, 25-22, 25-13 in Adams Thursday.

“Miscommunication on serve receive got us,” Southland head coach Angie Smith said. “The girls fought a hard battle tonight. Things just didn’t fall our way.”

The Rebels (9-13 overall) were led by Katie Barthel, who had five kills, nine assists, seven digs and one ace block, Jenna Juenger had four kills, one ace serve, and one ace block, Jana Schammel had four kills, one ace block, and Jessica Pitzen was 13-for-13 on serves with one ace.

Jemmy Mundt had nine kills and eight digs for L/A (11-15 overall).
