Karen Noble

Karen Phebe Noble, age 71, of Austin died Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009 at Austin Medical Center.

She was born Oct. 17, 1938 in Austin to Hans and Irene (Smith) Paulson. On May 19, 1956 Karen married Ross Noble at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Austin. Karen was a life long resident of Austin. She spent a lot of her time with her children and grandchildren. As the children got older Karen worked at Ankey’s Minimart for more than 10 years. She survived a stroke in 2001 and lived the last five years at St. Marks Lutheran Home.

Karen is preceded in death by her parents Hans and Irene Paulson; brother and sisters, Dorothy Tapp, Mildred Mortenson, Evelyn Rasmussen, Arlene Hemphill, Shirley Honsey, Hans Paulson, Jr., LaVonne Wilkes, and Irene Wilson.

Karen is survived by her husband Ross Noble, Austin; children, Lucille (Gary) Nelson, Austin, Michael (Elaine) Noble, Mantorville, Minn., Mark (Cinda) Noble, Lansing, Minn., Laura Noble (Greg Tennis), Austin, LaNora (Paul) Madden, Hagerstown, Md., LeeAnne (Brian) Peterson, Apple Valley, Minn.; 12 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one on the way; sister, Charlotte Miller, Austin; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 22, 2009 at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Patricia Toschak officiating. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery in Austin. There will be an Eagles Auxiliary service at 4:45 p.m. Wednesday prior to visitation at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary from 5 to 8 p.m. Visitation will also be during one hour before the service at the church on Thursday.

Honorary Bearers will be Sara Ferguson, Kevin Madden, Kyle Madden and Katherine Peterson.
Casket Bearers will be Dana Andree, Stephanie Noble, Scott Bustad, Eric Noble, Joshua Noble, Angie Noble, Andrea Noble and Malcolm Peterson.

In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials to the American Cancer Society or St.. Mark’s Lutheran Home Activity Fund.
