Burros beat Lyle/Pacelli football team in Lyle

A rough field and a tough opponent worked against the Lyle/Pacelli football team as it fell to Lanesboro 46-6 in Lyle Wednesday.

L/P (1-6, 1-5 SEC) amassed just 163 yards of offense, while Lanesboro (5-2 overall) picked up 326 yards on the ground.

“They’re physical and they beat us up on the line,” L/P head coach Mark Buntje said. “We couldn’t stop their running backs.”

Lanesboro’s Dillon Draper racked up 134 yards and three scores on nine carries and Aaron Hungerholt had 87 yards and a touchdown on eight carries.
