Bryce Howe

Bryce Howe, 56, of Spring Valley died Tuesday Morning Oct. 20, 2009 at his home following a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born July 15, 1953 in Austin to Stanley Howe and Beverly Berg Howe. He attended and graduated from Elkton High School in 1971. He went to work for Crenlo in Rochester in 1972 where he worked for more than 35 years. Bryce was united in marriage to Charlotte Horsman on Oct. 31, 1999 in Stewartville.
He was a volunteer fireman for the Dexter Fire Department and enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, working in his yard growing flowers and his kittens. Bryce had a big heart and his sense of humor will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife Charlotte of Spring Valley; daughters, Melanie VanBeek and Kara Howe both of Rochester, Minn. and Jacelyn (Larry) Ahrens of Milwaukee, Wis.; a stepson Chad Rich of Rochester; four grandchildren, Remington and Gavin VanBeek and Ethan and Wyatt Ahrens; five brothers, Bob (Joanne) Howe, Bill (Lea Ann) Howe, Brad (Shelly) Howe, Bart (Pam) Howe, Brian (Carmen) Howe all of Dexter, Minn.; and a sister Barb (Mike) Hatle of Adams, Minn.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Griffin Jacob; and a stepson, Brian Rich.
Funeral services for Bryce Allen Howe will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday Oct. 24, 2009 at the Hindt Funeral Home in Spring Valley with the Rev. Karen Ashton officiating. Burial will be in the Washington Cemetery in Sumner Township, Fillmore County.
Visitation will be at the Hindt Funeral Home in Spring Valley from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009.
